Soudan Mines - June Campout 2004
I have to admit that has been one of the most fun weekend campouts I’ve been on with Boy Scouts. What could be cooler than going thousands of feet underground and exploring the old deserted mines? Oh yeah; seeing the physics lab on top of it. Our campsite was also really cool. We camped on a peninsula where the lake surrounded us on three sides, and by now we’ve all gotten used to the rain that always seems to follow us on our troop’s campouts, so we didn’t let it get us down. We toured the Soudan Mines and the physics lab and then went on a hike on Saturday, and pretty much just hung out the rest of the time. What a great time.
