Scout Sunday 2003

Sunday, February 9th was a special day for Troop 449. It was our chance to show some scout spirit and provide some service to our sponsoring organization, Advent United Methodist Church, on Scout Sunday. We dressed in our scouting best and arrived early at the church to help set up for the services that day. The scouts helped out across the service by passing out the Sunday bulletins, providing a color guard, playing the bugle, reading scripture, collecting contributions, and escorting parishioners across the slippery parking lot. All of this and more was done for both the 9AM and the 11AM services.  The scouts looked terrific and did a fantastic job in representing Troop 449, the Boy Scouts of America, and the youth of our community.  Many compliments were received from the parishioners. Way to go guys! Well done!!!  Thanks for your efforts!
