Boundary Waters 2005
The Boundary Waters trip was a lot of fun. We caught
lots of fish. The weather was very nice, but could feel very hot after
paddling for a couple hours. A great way to cool off however, was to go
swimming in the lake at the end of the day. The water was very cold, but
was very refreshing. The food was a lot better than I expected it to
be. Most meals came in a bag and the only instructions were add
water. My favorite was the macaroni and cheese.

We only got lost a couple times at the beginning and
eventually found our way to a campsite far away from all the others. To
get there though we had to portage twice. Portages aren’t long but are a
lot of work. When we arrived at our campsite in mid-afternoon, we set up and
relaxed the rest of the day. The next two days we went on day trips to
different rapids. The adults fished while the kids rode down the
rapids. When we returned to our campsite from our day trips some of us
would cool off and relax by going swimming in the lake and taking a nice
long afternoon nap.
The Boundary waters trip was a lot of fun and I’m sure that
every body else that went enjoyed it too.
